Round-up of the Best Vintage iPhone Cases

After getting an iPhone, one of the best things is being able to shop around for accessories!  In this case, I needed an iPhone case to protect my phone. After browsing through the influx of sleek and techie iPhone cases out there, I realised that they just didn't have what I wanted. I've been wondering whether there were any cute vintage or antique-looking ones. Specifically, I wanted to find iPhone cases that were made of leather or fabric with some sort of unique styling to it, while still being sturdy enough to protect my iPhone from the elements. Having hunted for ages, I've finally found a few that were absolutely divine. Here are the best 5 vintage iPhone cases that I found:

Although this isn't exactly what I had in mind, it did catch my eye with its glam sequined fabric. I especially like that this line of cases are all hand-crafted and have also received a fair amount of glowing reviews in the press. Very nice for a chic night out on the town without looking like a techie geek ;)

Number four on my list is this cute little wristlet from Rowallan. I'm not sure if I would seriously dangle my iPhone from my wrist, but thankfully that bit is removable. It's nice that it includes a snap-button fixture to keep everything safe and secure as well as a silk-lined interior. Overall, it's a lovely, neat design with a gorgeous array of color choices. If you like the style, I'd highly recommend visiting their online store. Their entire line follows the same sort of smart modern vintage esthetic. I'd easily buy just about anything from them!

The look of this soft, buttery leather iPhone case completely charmed the pants off me! (don't take that literally) ;) It's completely hand-made yet somehow contains no sewing. Wonderfully smooth look to it. If I had this I'd probably be absent-mindedly stroking it all day. The inner side of the bottom part is a royal burgundy with a triskele symbol imprinted in the fabric. I had to include it in the side image instead of the usual front shot of the case just because it looks so fantastic. The price is a bit on the steep side as far as phone cases go, but for this level of quality, I'd say it's worth it.

Save the best two for last? Oh yes! I love the simplicity of these wristlet phone cases by Lodis and as they say, "Forget jewelry - these pieces will be your new best friends". The magenta one in the pic is by far my fave, and they also offer it in yellow and grey. The material is actually debossed smooth grain leather and features a detachable gold wristlet clip and clear ID window. Well designed and well thought-out. Lodis comes out on top again! It looks like fabric but this Lodis iPhone case is actually made of wholegrain leather, carved and cut in the most exotic swirls. It has a wristlet strap feature which is detachable as well as a security snap band and zipper pocket. All the functional features are there, but what takes this phone case over the top is the pure decadence of the design. It's understated, yet classy and elegant. I would usually never think of giving an iPhone case as a gift to someone, but I can think of plenty of my girl friends who would squeal with glee over this one. And at a price of $33.99, you can't really go wrong there. Full marks all around.
